London vs. LA

People ask me what the difference is between writing music in Los Angeles and London. My answer is always the same.

There isn’t one.

London just happened to be the place where I didn’t know anybody. And because of that, I wrote more than I have in a long time.

It could have been Tokyo. Or New York. These exact songs might not exist. Something else would.

It’s not the city. It’s the experience of being new somewhere. That’s what fueled these songs.
